Patrick Ian Harris, Sr. has spent his life proving that barriers are meant to be broken. Born into a military family and raised between Washington and West Germany, Patrick’s early years were shaped by curiosity and a love of learning that his parents instilled through travel and education. Despite personal challenges that led him to leave high school, Patrick refused to let setbacks define his future. From earning a GED to graduating magna cum laude with an MBA and qualifying for Mensa International, his story is a testament to determination and ambition.
From sweeping floors to reshaping industries, Patrick’s professional journey is nothing short of remarkable. He climbed the ranks at Safeway Inc. and McKesson Corporation, managing over $1 billion in annual revenue and filing 43 patents in healthcare technology. Beyond business, Patrick played a critical role in drafting healthcare policy aimed at combating the opioid epidemic and led the Alcor Life Extension Foundation through a strategic turnaround as its CEO. Now, he’s channeling his innovative spirit into public service, running as a Democratic candidate for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District to advocate for economic fairness, civic engagement, and transformative policies like his groundbreaking proposal, Capitated Capitalism.
